Haaland tells Chelsea and Man Utd key to future transfer
Borussia Dortmund’s teen sensation Erling Haaland has spoken about what any potential suitors can do to seal the 19-year-old’s signature.
Haaland joined Dortmund in January from RB Salzburg and has been a revelation, scoring nine goals in just eight Bundesliga games for his new team. There has already been talk about the player’s future career trajectory, with an eventual move to the Premier League heavily predicted.
In an interview with Eurosport, the Norwegian international talked about the thought process that will go into his next move.
“You’ve got to time how good you are, how good the club is, the people there, how they take care of you, how they help you evolve,” Haaland said.
“There are a lot of factors, and I remember when we discussed Salzburg and different clubs we figured out very early that Salzburg was the best option.
“And I’ve always thought ‘I can’t overrate myself’. That has always been important to me, saying ‘yes, I’m good, but there’s a lot of good players out there’, so that has always been very important to me, to not think I’m better than I actually am.”
FIFA decision delays Ziyech deal but boosts Donnarumma hopes
FIFA have confirmed that the summer transfer window will open upon the conclusion of the season.
There was uncertainty over how the window would work following the suspension of most domestic leagues around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, in a statement released by FIFA on Tuesday said: “With regard to transfer windows, again, it is necessary to adjust the normal regulatory position to the new factual circumstances.
“Accordingly, FIFA will be flexible and will allow the relevant transfer windows to be moved, so they fall between the end of the old season and the start of the new season.”
Chelsea have already confirmed the signing of Ziyech from Ajax, while there have been rumours linking the club with Donnarumma as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options.
