Ha Ha Clinton-Dix says he picked Bears over Redskins for ‘winning ballgames’

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix ended up being a rental for the Washington Redskins and as such, they’ll have to play him in Week 3 on Monday Night Football.

Those Redskins have to host the Chicago Bears on Monday and it’s a tall task for what is already one of the NFL’s most-injured rosters.

Leading up to the game, Clinton-Dix wasn’t shy about why he chose the Bears over the Redskins.

“I just had to make the best decision for me going into my future,” he said, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. “It was more about winning ballgames for me and being a part of something special and the culture that’s set here.”

Clinton-Dix played nine games for the Redskins last year after coming over via trade in exchange for a fourth-round pick. The Redskins might have offered plenty to keep him in town, but it seems the allure of Chicago was too much.

Now in his preferred destination, Clinton-Dix will look to combat a Redskins passing game that has put up some notable numbers but has yet to do enough to win a game — he’ll hope to keep that budding trend going.
