H signs on lampposts actual meaning leaves people taken aback

People have been taken aback by the actual meaning of H signs on lampposts.

The bright yellow signs are a common feature on roads across the UK. A fire and rescue service have taken to TikTok to highlight the important reason why they are there - as Birmingham Live reports.

The service posted a short clip alongside the caption: "POV: You’ve walked past these small yellow signs your whole life. But it was today you realised, finally, after all these years, they are there to tell firefighters where the hydrants are."
