H&M x Pringle: latest collaboration is full of cosy knitwear for winter

There’s nothing like really great, reasonably priced knitwear to cure the autumn chill-induced blues.

And with such a prolonged, drizzly chill on the horizon, only the best woollies will do.

With that in mind, we come bearing good knit-news. For H&M’s latest collaboration is with heritage label Pringle of Scotland, and the resulting woollens are so good, they could get even the most seasonally depressed out of a funk.

The Pringle of Scotland x H&M collection, which drops on October 3, features Pringle’s heritage highland argyles and jacquards reimagined with a sporty twist.

Pringle’s classic golfer-chic diamond pattern comes oversized on a mixed texture funnel-neck jumper with balloon sleeves, while elsewhere the Scottish label’s traditional yarns are amped with attitude in oversized raw-edged sweaters.

Using recycled polyester and organic cotton alongside cosy wool, the collection comes in an understated – and ultra-wearable – palette of grey, biscuit brown and mustard, peppered throughout with flashes of acid yellow.

Those looking for something more millennial might gravitate towards the hoodies, leggings and beanie hats all printed with a sporty ‘Pringle’ logo, while dog-lovers are catered for with puppy pullovers in matching prints and colours.

“We are always looking for new ways to express the DNA of our heritage knitwear and we hope this latest playful, sporty take on our famous argyle and Fair Isle knitwear will delight our existing customers” said Katy Wallace, Brand Director at Pringle of Scotland in a statement.
