H&M bosses confirm Ayr store closure talks

H&M bosses have confirmed the store in Ayr is at risk of closure.

The fashion retailer has already announced plans to close 250 stores globally next year, citing the pandemic as moving more shoppers online.

The fashion giant is yet to make a final decision on UK store closures, but bosses have confirmed that the Ayr store, in Ayr Central Shopping Centre on Kyle Street, is currently at risk.

A H&M spokesperson said: “I can confirm that our colleagues are currently in consultations about the potential closure of the store in Ayr, Scotland.

“We are working to support our colleagues at this time.”
