Gypsy Sisters' Kayla Williams said her grandson is in hospital with burns after a hot bath.
The reality TV star, 43, shared her grandchild Henry, aged one, has been left with second-degree burns following the terrifying incident at her home, in West Virginia on Sunday.
Kayla explained Henry was put in a tub by his stepsister, seven, who had run the scorching hot bath without any cold water.
In discussion with TMZ , she explained although Henry's stepsister quickly realised it was too late as Henry was already "badly burned" and "in shock".
The grandmother said Henry remains heavily sedated in Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Maryland after being airlifted to hospital.
Kayla said Henry will have graft surgery on his foot but he is expected to recover.
Police sources shared an investigation into the incident is underway to determine whether there will be any charges or if it was an accident, according to the gossip site.

Kayla and her family are known for starring on American reality series Gypsy Sisters.
Gypsy sisters documented the rocky lives of a proud West Virgina clan known as the Stanleys.
The reality television series was cancelled in 2015, just two years after its debut in 2013.
TLC only gave the reality show for seasons before pulling the plug on the TV project.
It was a spin-off show to My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.
