A gymnastic club's failed attempt to buy a community centre is back on the council agenda.
Dundonald Gymnastics Club asked for a review of a decision, which turned down their £10,000 bid to snap up the Muirhead Activity Centre.
Residents campaigned to stop the community asset transfer of the Troon hub with 1400 objections flooding in.
The South Ayrshire Council leadership panel refused the asset transfer after considering the matter.
Councillors voiced concerns about whether people who used the activity centre would still get access to it or have anywhere else to go.
But that decision will now go back to the leadership panel after an Audit and Governance Panel meeting this week.
Councillors weighed up concerns from the gymnastics club at the meeting.
They decided to send the matter back to the leadership panel with a condition that other groups should still get access to the community centre.
Independent councillor Brian Connolly who attended the meeting said the club had a "solid case" for the transfer in regard to government legislation.
The Dundonald Gymnastics Club described the refusal of the asset transfer as "irrational" and "procedurally improper."
The club has had discussions with groups who use the community centre and said it would work to accomodate them.
Council officers recommended the Muirhead Activity Centre should be sold.
It made a £73,000 loss last financial year and has a market value of £150,000.
A council report said: "If the request is refused, the property may continue to be a financial burden on the Council both in terms of revenue and capital.”
