Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she had “multiple drinks seven nights a week” during lockdown.

The actress and lifestyle guru said her drink of choice was a cocktail she invented called “Buster Paltrow,” which she named after her grandfather and contains quinoa whiskey.

“I drank alcohol during quarantine,” the Goop founder told the Mirror.

“I was drinking seven nights a week and making pasta and eating bread. I went totally off the rails.

“I mean, who drinks multiple drinks seven nights a week?” she continued. “Like that’s not healthy. I love whiskey and I make this fantastic drink called the Buster Paltrow, which I named after my grandfather who loved whiskey sours.”

The Oscar-winner added that the Buster Paltrow was made with whiskey from a distillery in Tennessee, maple syrup and lemon juice.

“It’s just heaven. I would have two of those every night of quarantine,” she said.

Ms Paltrow said she was “not, like, black-out” drunk, but confessed to still craving a cigarette when drinking.

It comes after the star’s Netflix show The Goop Lab has been earmarked for a second season by the streaming giant.

The six-part series premiered in January 2020 and saw Ms Paltrow and her right-hand woman, chief content officer Elise Loehnen, delve into a different wellness topic each episode.

They covered psychedelics, female sexual pleasure, energy healing and psychic mediums.

Lifestyle website Goop has been routinely criticised for some of its questionable wellness claims, including unscientific claims about vaginal eggs which saw the lifestyle website agree to pay $145,000 (£112,000) in a settlement.
