Gwyneth Paltrow takes Goop to Netflix with brand new docuseries

Gwyneth Paltrow is taking lifestyle brand Goop to Netflix for a brand new docuseries, focused on physical and spiritual wellbeing.

According to Variety, the award-winning actress is expanding Goop’s original slate by partnering up with the streaming site later this year with a short series hosted by Paltrow and chief content officer Elise Loehnen.

Each 30-minute episode will cover issues related to wellbeing – including mental, physical and sexual health - with the help of field experts, doctors and researchers all in conversation.

Loehnen told Variety that there is “no better platform than Netflix” and hailed “highly visual and tactile” Paltrow for looking to the provider.

The deal means that Goop is likely to have a TV-style budget at its disposal to discuss issues Goop fans have come to expect.

As well as taking on Netflix, Goop has landed itself a deal with Delta Airlines which will push out their podcast on-board 600 aircrafts and increase the listeners to over 18 million.

The first of these podcasts will include a conversation between Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey.

Last October, the Hollywood star walked down the aisle with Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, confirming the sweet news with a photo of two hands overlapping with wedding bands on.

The pair married in a private ceremony at the Hamptons, with the newlyweds later taking a “modern” honeymoon with Paltrow’s ex Chris Martin, her children and Falchuk’s children.

Paltrow told US talk show Live With Kelly And Ryan: “We had a big family honeymoon over Christmas. My new husband, and his children, my children, my ex-husband, our best family friends. A very modern honeymoon.

“It was great, we had such a good time.”
