Gwyneth Paltrow’s trainer Tracy Anderson donates workout class revenue in response to Trump fundraiser

Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson is combatting the upcoming Hamptons fundraiser for President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign with her own social media storm.

The event will be hosted by billionaire Stephen Ross, the owner of Equinox and SoulCycle. Celebrities and many on social media have encouraged people to boycott the establishments to protest the move. Anderson has since announced that she will be donating proceeds from her weekend classes to politicized charities, seemingly in response to the Trump fundraiser.

Anderson posted an Instagram message captioned, “Look what made you do,” along with the news that 20 percent of proceeds from her luxurious boutique fitness classes will benefit The Human Rights Campaign, Everytown for Gun Safety and The Martin Luther King Foundation from Friday through Sunday. The post reads, “Feeling heated? So are my studios.”

The Instagram responses varied, with model Hilary Rhoda responding, “Awesome!” and former Real Housewives of New Jersey reality star Dina Manzo writing, “I love you but If you’re gonna do it, give 100% anything else seems like a PR stunt.” A new member one-year membership at her Tribeca studio is $11,400.

Another comment read, "This is what white privilege actually is..meanwhile trump is fighting for the poor and middle class and is doing a fantastic job helping America."

Her 95-degree studios have popular locations in the Hamptons, Manhattan, and Los Angeles. Anderson trains Gwyneth Paltrow, Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham.

Since the news broke, model Chrissy Teigen has asked her celebrity friends to cancel their Equinox memberships and told them they can workout at her house instead.

Lion King voice actor Billy Eichner and Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness have already canceled their Equinox memberships.
