The actor and Goop founder recently shared a clip to her Instagram page of her light, luxe kitchen, and, like all kitchens, she has an awkward, small space that is notoriously hard to decorate. In true Gwyneth style, however, she turned it into something that's not only functional, but highly decorative, too. 'Pair stacks of plates with bowls and intersperse them with decorative elements like small plants or cookbooks. Avoid overcrowding by leaving some space between items to maintain an organized and visually pleasing display.'
Additionally, you can't go wrong with color coordinating; Gwyneth has opted for this method with the all-white dishes, and her result is a crisp, uniformed appearance.
'Arrange objects by color to create a cohesive and harmonious look,' Nina says. 'This technique works particularly well with open shelving, as it draws the eye across the shelves and creates a more polished appearance. Consider using a consistent color palette for your dishes and decor to enhance the aesthetic appeal.'
Nina also encourages experimentation with objects on a display shelf (you don't just have to limit decor to dishes).
'Intersperse functional items with decorative pieces such as vases, small potted plants, or framed photos,' she recommends. 'These elements add personality and warmth to your kitchen.'
