Gwyneth Paltrow reveals she uses her Oscar award as a doorstop

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she uses her Oscar as a doorstop in her garden.

The Hollywood actress has recently starred in the latest Vogue’s 73 Questions series, where famous faces are interviewed in a setting of their choice.

The actress-turned-wellness-guru opened the doors to her home in Amagansett, Long Island, New York for the interview showing viewers around her garden and grounds of her home.

At one point, Paltrow, 51, walks past the Academy Award which is being used to prop up a door.

“What a beautiful Academy Award,” the interviewer says.

“My doorstop,” she beams. “It works perfectly.”

Paltrow won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Shakespeare in Love. She was up against Cate Blanchett, Fernanda Montenegro, Meryl Streep and Emily Watson.

Paltrow also spoke about her favourite Coldplay song, what fashion trends she doesn’t like and what the secret to being a good host is on the interview.

It comes just days after the actress opened up about the ski lawsuit brought against her earlier this year – saying she is still “processing” the bizarre, highly-publicised trial.

Retired optometrist Terry Sanderson said the actor and wellness guru crashed into him on the upmarket Deer Valley ski resort in Utah in 2016. In March, she was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Seven months after winning the case, she called the episode “pretty weird.”

“I don’t know that I’ve even processed it. It was something I felt like I survived,” she told the New York Times.

“Sometimes in my life it takes me a long time to look back and process something and understand something.”
