Gwyneth Paltrow has been accused of seriously injuring a man in a hit-and-run skiing crash in 2016, according to a £2.37million law suit.
Terry Sanderson, from Utah, claimed the actress was skiing out of control and knocked him out in the accident.
The 72-year-old was left with a brain injury and four broken ribs after the collision at Park City ski resort, the suit claimed.
A spokeswoman for the actress said the lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday, was "without merit".
Mr Sanderson said Paltrow left the mountain and did not send help.
It was also claimed that a Deer Valley ski instructor filed a false incident report saying she did not cause the crash.
Deer Valley Resort spokeswoman Emily Summers said it could not comment on pending legal matters.
Paltrow's attorney did not deny she was involved in a crash but disputed her culpability, according to Mr Sanderson’s lawyer.
Mr Sanderson denied suing Paltrow because she is a famous and rich celebrity.
He said: "I would like to be vindicated. I would like my truth to be told."
