A fridge dumped on a public pathway contained a large amount of cannabis, police have revealed.
Officers found a sizeable stash of the Class B drug in Clarwen, Gelligaer, Caerphilly , on Sunday.
It is not known why the drugs - thought to be worth hundreds of pounds - were dumped in an alleyway.
However, detectives are carrying forensic tests on the fridge as well as speaking to locals in the area.
Gwent Police is asking anyone with information to contact the force via the 101 number or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
The force said: "We're working to break the chain between drug use and crime but we need your help.
"If you’re concerned about drug use or dealing in your area, no matter how small, we want to know."
