Female police dog Wish helped apprehend a suspect who ran off when Gwent Police officers approached him in his car in the early hours of Saturday (September 4).
The suspect tried to flee when stopped by patrolling officers and hotfooted it into a housing estate to escape.
However the would-be fugitive from justice got more than he bargained for when Gwent Police handlers unleashed the doggedly determined PD Wish who quickly tracked him down.
Gwent Police had a bone to pick with the suspect who was detained for further questioning.
Gwent Police tweeted at 3.12am: "PD Wish Assisted @gpoperatations after occupant of car ran off. Short hard surface track through housing estate and 'bobs your uncle' one located #TrackingSkills #Girlpower."
