Gwen Stefani's wedding riddle as she 'plans lavish ceremony' later this summer

Gwen Stefani is continuing to keep fans guessing whether she’s married or not.

According to People magazine, the No Doubt singer is planning a summer wedding with friends and family. But this information comes just days after Gwen was seen on Saturday wearing what appeared to be a diamond-encrusted wedding band next to her engagement ring during an outing in Santa Monica.

This prompted speculation that she’d already tied the knot, especially as she had posted a picture of her bridal shower earlier that week.

The 51-year-old shared an image of herself drinking wine and holding a present. She captioned the image, “SHE’S GETTING MARRIIIEEEED” with four wedding-related emojis.

Gwen became engaged to singer-songwriter Blake Shelton, who is a coach on the US version of The Voice, in October last year.

She and her family were staying in lockdown on his ranch in Oklahoma and it is thought that this will also be the venue for their ceremony.

Blake was reportedly building a wedding chapel in the grounds.

The Hollaback Girl singer was previously married to British musician Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016 and they have three sons. It is expected that all three boys - 15-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and Apollo, seven - will attend the wedding, as the insider continued: "From the beginning, Gwen made it clear to Blake that her boys were No. 1 in her life, and Blake always respected this.

“Gwen's boys will be very involved. Blake is a great extra dad and very close with the boys. He never wanted to overstep and made sure everyone was comfortable with his role in her sons' lives," the source added.

"Gwen's sons are just really solid, sweet kids, and they're so excited for Blake and Gwen to get married," said a friend. "They can't wait to stand by their sides."

It looks like the couple will probably wait until at least July 4 before they can invite everyone over for a party.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the regulations about lockdown and mask-wearing have varied from state to state, but it is likely that most states will see an easing of restrictions from early next month.

That’s meant a frustrating time for Gwen, adds the magazine.

"Ever since they got engaged, they have both been adamant that no wedding will happen until it's safe for family and friends to attend. Gwen expressed early on that she really wanted a summer wedding," the source says. "

She was upset earlier this year when it seemed to be no end in sight for the pandemic. She slowly started planning the wedding this spring though.

"They are both ecstatic that it can finally happen. They are getting married this summer.”

Husband-to-be Blake has previously joked that if the wedding were up to him, it wouldn’t be a refined or sophisticated affair.

"If I was picking our meal, it would just literally be everything fried," Blake said.

"French fries, chicken tenders, it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control."
