A distillery in Edinburgh's Old Town has closed immediately after a member of their team tested positive for coronavirus.
Holyrood Distillery, home to their buzzing outdoors Courtyard Bar, has proven popular over lockdown with its amazing views of Arthur's Seat.
As a result of the positive Covid case the distillery has cancelled all tours for the next ten days and have closed the beer garden for the same length of time.
Describing the team as 'gutted' at the news, the distillery thanked customers for their support during a difficult time for the venue.
Holyrood Distillery wrote on Facebook today: "Unfortunately one of our team has tested positive for Covid-19. All relevant details are being passed to Test and Protect.
"The health and safety of our team and guests will always be the priority, and so we will be closing our Courtyard Bar for the next 10 days. We'll take the time to get our team tested, self-isolating if needed, and to ensure a deep clean.
"With this in mind, we will also suspend our distillery tours for 10 days.
"We are planning to reopen on Thursday 24th June - if you have a booking for either our Courtyard Bar or Tours over the next 10 days, our team will be in touch.
"We're a bit gutted, and want to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you for your support, it really means the world - we can't wait to welcome you back soon....(again!)."
The news comes after Easter Road coffee shop Little Fitzroy also closed temporarily this morning due to a staff member having close contact with a positive Covid case.
