Customers at a Newcastle restaurant are being invited to take advantage of a gift-wrapping service in the run-up to Christmas.
The idea is that those who stop off for lunch at Gusto on the Quayside at the weekend can bring along their presents which staff will wrap and decorate for them for free as they enjoy their break.
While it's about taking some of the hassle out of the busy festive shopping season, its focus is purely charitable as - while the service is free - any donations which are made will boost The Tim Bacon Foundation.
Gusto set up the foundation in memory of the group's founder and director who died from cancer in 2016 and the foundation in his name raises funds for research into the disease and for therapy by supporting charities including Maggies, University College in London and Kidscan.
The Newcastle branch of Gusto has been in existence for 15 years - in the former home of Est Est Est - and its manager Kiri Ham was awarded general manager of the year across the group's 18 UK sites.
It will be offering its Christmas gift-wrap service every Saturday and Sunday until December 23. For more about the Italian restaurant see here .
