Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong continues its Chef Collaboration Series at Sato San Rooftop Bar this month with a new culinary experience. For a limited time, chef Anothai "Tai" Sridowraek from Sato San Rooftop Bar joins chef Nintra Suwannakam from Takumi Restaurant at Jubilee Prestige Bangkok Ratchadapisek for the exclusive Sato San x Takumi collaboration, creating a special menu that blends Japanese culinary techniques with bold Thai and Isaan flavours. Guests are invited to a one-night-only rooftop dining experience at Sato San Rooftop Bar, where both chefs will present the collaboration menu together. Guests can enjoy a Free-Flow Food Package featuring unlimited dishes from the collaboration menu and unlimited soft drinks.

Wine dinner / Akira Back / Aug 21

Akira Back Bangkok at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park will host the “Flame & Vine”, a five-course menu of the finest flame-cooked cuisine, crafted in Akira Back style and paired with premium labels from five of France’s most renowned wine regions. Staged on Aug 21, the evening will transport diners on a multi-sensory journey through Alsace, Burgundy, Rhône, Bordeaux and the Loire Valley. The journey begins in Alsace with Scallop tiradito with strawberry salsa, garlic truffle soy and micro shiso, paired with Heim Riesling Imperial 2023. Also on the menu are Crispy tiger prawn with jalapeño, beetroot and sweet ponzu; Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis Premier Cru "Les Lys" 2023; Akira Back’s signature Black Onyx ribeye and Brunel de la Gardine Hermitage 2021, and much more.

Wine fare / Ms.Jigger / Aug 21

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok turns Ms.Jigger into a passport-free tour of Europe's oldest wine countries. On Aug 21, Ms.Jigger will host the "Roam Around Europe Wine Fair" for guests to taste their way through Spain, France, Germany and Italy, four nations whose winemaking traditions stretch back centuries and still shape how the world drinks today. Each ticketed guest receives a glass at the door, then charts their own course across eight stations set up around Ms.Jigger, each pouring a different wine, moving between them at whatever pace curiosity demands. A food spread runs throughout the evening for guests to graze on between pours, while DJ Ali Gerami keeps a live set running in the background.

Self-guided tour / Walk Japan

Walk Japan has launched a new self-guided itinerary, the "Self-Guided Salt Road Wayfarer", a six-day, five-night journey traversing the historic Salt Road, an ancient trading route that once connected the Sea of Japan with the castle town of Matsumoto. Designed for experienced walkers, with daily walks ranging from 17km to 21.5km, the itinerary follows the footsteps of the bokka porters, who once transported salt and other goods through the rugged landscapes of the Japan Alps. Winding through Nagano and Niigata Prefectures, the route passes deep valleys, pristine beech forests, crystal-clear streams and traditional mountain villages, offering an authentic glimpse into one of Japan's most remote and little-visited regions. Each participant receives a Wayfarer Route Booklet, with detailed walking directions, logistical information and photographs to help aid navigation. Guests also have access to 24-hour English-language support and baggage transfers between each accommodation. Tour dates are available from September to November and May to June.

TrueMoney has joined forces with the Korea Tourism Organization to offer those travelling in South Korea special perks when they use the app, including airfare or accommodation discounts of up to B2,000 and 20% rebate. App users must spend at participating stores and establishments that welcome Alipay+. Moreover, Android users can use the EDC Contactless feature in South Korea to receive a 5% rebate.

Art show in hotel / Pullman Bangkok Hotel G / Until Dec 20

Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is hosting "Learning a New Language”, a solo exhibition by Dilan Jayakody, inviting visitors to discover a deeply personal artistic journey inspired by curiosity, creativity and the vibrant spirit of Bangkok. Hosted at The Gallery, the exhibition explores how everyday experiences can become a new visual language. What began during the global lockdown as a simple creative experiment for Jayakody with a white pencil and black paper gradually evolved into a diverse body of work, shaped by Bangkok's architecture, street art, galleries, cafés and creative community. Many of his works on display are created using black paper, white pencils, coloured pens and even children's modelling clay, demonstrating that meaningful art begins not with sophisticated tools. Park Hyatt Bangkok presents a collection of dining, music and lifestyle experiences across its distinctive venues. From Latin rhythms and seasonal Italian flavours and an intimate wine dinner. At the Penthouse Bar + Grill, “Latin Fever Nights” on Friday and Saturday offers the sounds of Latin America. Featuring vocalist Alba Santos and a full live band, Latin Fever Nights presents a spirited repertoire of Latin jazz, boleros and Afro-Cuban classics. The evening is complemented by a selection of Latin-inspired cocktails by Fabio Brugnolaro. On Aug 30, The Bar presents a watercolour workshop at The Bar in collaboration with Ruinart and Panpuri. Guided by artist Aey Kamolatas of Ami’s Paint Bar, guests will create a personal artwork inspired by fragrance and colour using naturally derived pigments, accompanied by Ruinart Brut Champagne, curated canapés and a special Panpuri souvenir.

Afternoon tea / Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok / Until Oct 31

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok will offer an afternoon tea in collaboration with Artstory, a charitable initiative under the Autistic Thai Foundation. Aiming to support young artistic talent, the "Dreams In Colour" Afternoon Tea showcases the work of Paveelada "Beam" Anrungruangpan and Weerachot "Karn" Kasonboa, whose imaginations come to life on an exclusive silk-satin scarf presented as a complimentary gift with the experience. The afternoon tea begins with Chef Franck Istel’s selection of savouries, from Beetroot-cured salmon with edible flowers to Crab cone with lemon caviar, followed by freshly baked classic and apricot-roasted macadamia scones served with raspberry jam, passion fruit curd and Devonshire clotted cream. The storytelling continues beyond the afternoon tea through Art Promenade, the hotel’s temporary art exhibition featuring 16 artworks by the two featured artists, alongside works by three additional artists from the Autistic Thai Foundation. The afternoon tea includes one complimentary silk-satin scarf.

Afternoon tea at Capella Bangkok’s Tea Lounge offers "Éclat de Cacao", a limited-time culinary journey celebrating the artistry of chocolate through an exclusive collaboration between executive pastry chef Paulo Bairan and Valrhona chef Guillaume Lopvet. Éclat de Cacao unfolds as an elegant afternoon tea journey, beginning with a signature welcome drink inspired by Valrhona chocolate and bright citrus notes, followed by pre-dessert bites before progressing through scones, signature pastries, petits fours and elegant mignardises. Available until Oct 9.

As part of its ongoing 150th anniversary celebration, "Unfolding Legacies", Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok presents the "Light Of Bangkok Afternoon Tea", a collaboration with Paris-based fragrance house Parfums Dusita. Available until Aug 31 at The Authors' Lounge, the limited-time afternoon tea draws inspiration from "Light Of Bangkok", the bespoke fragrance created for the hotel's 150th anniversary. Created by Thai perfumer Pissara “Ploi” Umavijani, founder of Paris-based Parfums Dusita, the fragrance has notes of bergamot, clary sage and lemongrass with jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris butter before settling into sandalwood, vetiver and musk. The tea's savoury creations include bergamot-cured scallop with ylang-ylang, jasmine-scented crab with young coconut, vetiver-infused green pea and pandan, orris with tuna and beetroot, and foie gras with truffle and sandalwood. Sweet highlights include bergamot tea cake, jasmine-scented vanilla cake with mango marmalade, ylang-ylang banana pie, sandalwood-scented whisky chocolate and a commemorative 150th anniversary chocolate sable with lemongrass and jasmine ganache, along with traditional scones and seasonal preserves. There will be a workshop on Aug 18 led by Ploi, where guests will discover the inspiration behind Light of Bangkok.
