GURUGRAM: The city on Thursday witnessed 88 new Covid cases, bringing the total tally of cases to 2,59,907. The positivity rate rose to 1.79% on Wednesday from 1.40% on the previous day. No one succumbed to the infection in the city on Thursday.
Two Covid patients are currently admitted to hospitals while the rest are in home isolation. A total of 4,921 Covid tests were conducted on Thursday.
Gurgaon now has 395 Covid patients. It had the highest active cases on January 21 — 25,306. Between January 9 and 28, the positivity rate was over 20%.
In Gurgaon, as many as 73 people have succumbed to the infection this year alone, while the total toll since the outbreak of the pandemic has touched 1,006. Of them, 681 patients were known to have comorbidities.
