GURUGRAM: The principal of a private school in Sohna was allegedly abused and assaulted by a parent for refusing to issue a transfer certificate for a higher class, police said on Wednesday.
Around 10.30 am on Tuesday, the accused had allegedly approached the owner-cum-principal of Megha International School for a transfer certificate (TC) for his ward. When the principal handed over the document, the accused allegedly insisted on a TC for a higher class, police said.
In his complaint, the principal claimed that the parent abused and thrashed him for refusing to give in to the “unreasonable demand” and issue a fake certificate for a higher class. The accused allegedly also threatened the principal following which the latter submitted a complaint at Sohna City police station. A case has been registered under IPC Sections 323 (causing hurt), 452 (trespass) and 506 (criminal intimidation) in the matter.
In a separate incident, a complaint has been filed after a class 10 student of a private school, also located in Sohna, was allegedly slapped multiple times by a physical education teacher. The student was allegedly punished for turning back after writing his paper on October 8, the complaint submitted by his mother, Rekha Raghav, states. The student, the complaint states, had “swelling in his eyes” and had returned home crying due to pain in his eyes and ear. A case was registered against the teacher under IPC Section 323 (causing hurt) and Section 75 (cruelty) of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act at Sohna Sadar police station.
