Butoh, which originated in Japan, is one of the most innovative and influential forms of modern dance. Anais Carmen Bourquin studied with Butoh masters in Japan, as well as rituals and sacred dances across Asia, with inspirations from tattoo artists in Cambodia and Borneo, traditional Eastern healers, and temple dancers in Bali. Bourquin will be hosting a three-day retreat, April 16-19, called "Connecting To Nature And True Self Through Butoh Dance” at Faasai Resort and Spa in Chanthaburi. Rolling Loud Thailand / The Legend Siam / April 13-15

Bardigang, have your shmoney ready as Cardi B, Chris Brown and Travis Scott will headline the inaugural edition of Rolling Loud Thailand. The hip-hop music festival was founded in 2015 by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif and debuted as a one-day event in Miami before rolling out (see what we did?) to international destinations such as Australia and Canada. Thailand and Germany join the festival this year. Cardi B, Chris Brown and Travis Scott have been named the headliners for each day of the three-day hip-hop music festival, which features international and local acts on two stages, totalling to 60+acts. Besides music, there will be F&B and activity booths per usual. The catch — and it's a pricey one — is that the general admission ticket for three days is priced at B13,000 and, in the next phase, ticket prices go up to B15,000. VIP tickets cost B25,000. When Suvarnabhumi Orbits To The Sun / Moca Bangkok / April 8-30 

The Museum of Contemporary Art Bangkok will host an apt group show focused on Thai summer. "When Suvarnabhumi Orbits To The Sun" features artworks by 23 Thai artists who portray the Thai way of life and other occurrences during the hottest month of the year. It'll be an opportunity to witness works by masters in Thai art such as Chalerm Nakiraks, Jumras Phrommin, Sompong Adulyasaraphan, Itsara Laothong and Praphan Srisouta from Moca's archive. New restaurant / InterContinental Phuket Resort

Harbouring a commitment to flavour enhancement that showcases the best of ingredients, hom opens today at InterContinental Phuket Resort. Helmed by chef Ricardo Nunes, the restaurant is a celebration of ancient fermentation processes that have unified cultures for centuries. Resident zymologist Mateo Polanco works closely with chef Nunes to develop the intricacies of the fermentation techniques utilised across all dishes and beverages at hom. In Episode 4 of “The Travelling Chefs Series”, chef Mangeleer will be cooking in the fine dining style of his restaurant Hertog Jan in Antwerp, Belgium.
