A group of men forced their way inside a Downpatrick home and allegedly shot a gun in air during a burglary attempt in Downpatrick on Friday night.
A mother and her son were in the property of Glebetown Drive area during the altercation.
Detectives are investigating the incident and appealing for more witnesses.

Detective Sergeant Bell said: “It’s understood that during the incident, which was reported on Saturday afternoon, a number of males forced their way inside a property and threatened the occupants with a firearm.
“A shot was then allegedly fired into the air by the males as they made their escape.
“We currently investigating and I would encourage anyone with information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 696 04/05/19.”
