‘Gunshots fired’ near celeb spot The Rosewood Hotel

Police are investigating a shooting close to a star-studded hotel in north London.

The Rosewood London hotel, which has hosted Drake and Justin Bieber when they visit London, has been cordoned off since this morning.

Police said they were called to the Holborn hotspot to reports of a shooting but found no-one suffering any injuries.

A video posted on social media appears to capture the sound of gunfire from within the luxury hotel at 4am on Saturday morning.

A Met Police spokesman said: “We were called at 3.56am to a firearm discharged at or near to the Rosewood London hotel in High Holborn.

“Officers attended and put a crime scene in place.

“Enquiries are underway to establish circumstances.

“There have been no reports of any person with gunshot injuries.”

“At this early stage there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 1289/11sep. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.

The Rosewood London Hotel has been approached for comment.
