A shooting victim self-presented in hospital after being shot at a children’s playground in east London.
Locals alerted police to shots being fired at Odessa Park, Forest Gate at 11pm on Saturday.
Armed officers responded and scoured the area but could not locate any gunmen or the victim.
Just 25 minutes later a 23-year-old man took himself to hospital suffering a gunshot wound.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said the “injury is not life-threatening”.
The play park which also has a basketball court remains cordoned off as forensics scour the scene for evidence.
There have been no arrests.
