Gunners battle Newcastle for Juve star and links to £35m star - Latest Arsenal transfer rumours

The January transfer window is under a month away now and Arsenal have been linked with a host of players as the New Year draws closer.

Mikel Arteta and Technical director Edu had a busy summer, investing over £150million to revamp a squad that finished outside a European place last season.

Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Benjamin White, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Martin Odegaard all joined in the last transfer window and have played their part so far this season.

The squad overhaul appears to have done the trick in terms of results, with the Gunners sitting in seventh but with the chance to jump into fifth and a few points off of fourth with a win on Monday night.

However, with a busy festive fixture schedule coming up for Arteta and his squad as well as the African Cup of Nations in the New Year that will see four players leave to join up with their national teams, there could be some moves made for transfers in the window.

With that said, football.london takes a look at the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Arsenal and Newcastle to battle for Adrien Rabiot

Arsenal are set to battle it out with Newcastle to land France international Adrien Rabiot, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

The Juventus midfielder has been out of favour at the Serie A club under new boss Massimiliano Allegri, who is looking to revamp his current midfield ranks but has to move players on before he can sign some.

Aaron Ramsey on the move

Aaron Ramsey’s agent is looking to make a move away from Juventus, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.

The former Arsenal midfielder has previously been linked with a return to the Emirates, with the report claiming he prefers a return to the Premier League after struggling in Serie A.

Darwin Nunez interest

The Gunners are interested in a move for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, says Uruguayan outlet Traspasos.

The Uruguay international has impressed for the Portuguese side, with Arsenal interested in the player, along with Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

The report also claims that the club will not accept anything less than €40million (£35million) for the 22-year-old.
