The regional Mexican music scene is in mourning after the violent death of Juan Luiz Martínez López, the beloved vocalist of Grupo Dorado de Abasolo, who was fatally shot in front of his family during a private gathering at his home in Abasolo, Guanajuato.
According to reports from Univision, the tragedy occurred on Sunday, October 26, while the singer was spending the afternoon with relatives and close friends. Witnesses told local authorities that two men arrived at the residence, and one of them fired several shots at the artist, affectionately known as "Bosho." Martínez was hit at least five times before his attackers fled in a vehicle.
Paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross arrived quickly, but Martínez had no vital signs when they reached him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police immediately cordoned off the area, while agents from Guanajuato's Criminal Investigation Agency and forensic specialists began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
