Gunfire and car stunts filmed on Newport Road for Mark Wahlberg's movie

Gunfire, police cars in a ram raid and an Aston Martin sports car flipping over the central reservation - all things spotted in Cardiff over the weekend.

Filming for the Mark Wahlberg film Infinite has continued on one of Cardiff's busiest roads over the weekend.

Newport Road will remain closed from the junction of Fitzalan Place to the junction of City Road for filming until Tuesday.

The film has been filmed in various locations across the UK but what has been described as a "major sequence" is being filmed in Cardiff.

It is understood that the Hollywood star has not been involved in the Cardiff scenes.

The road closure came into force from midnight on Saturday, October 26, and will run until 6am, Tuesday, October 29.

The movie, Infinite, is an adaptation of the 2009 novel, The Reincarnationist Papers by D. Eric Maikranz.

The novel revolves around one man who is haunted by memories of two past lives, before he stumbles on a secret society of people called the Cognomina.
