Knowsley targeted team inspector Jon Coote said: “Firearms, replica or not, have the capacity to cause fear and harm in our communities, and it’s pleasing to see another one removed from the streets.
"We see armed robberies and other distressing crimes committed with such items, so it’s vital we know where they are being stored before they are used.

“If you have any concerns about any weapons, drugs and other illegal items being stored, carried or used, come forward directly or anonymously.
"We’ll use all available powers, working alongside all our partners in Knowsley, to make our communities safer places to live, work and visit.”
To report suspicious activity people can contact police on its social media desk on Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ with any information.
People can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information.
