A gun was found in a north Dublin park yesterday after a man fled from gardai.
The incident is understood to have happened in the Stardust memorial park in Coolock yesterday at around 9pm.
A search is now underway for the suspect who managed to flee the scene, with gardai confirming that investigations are continuing.
The man is believed to have been wearing a mask when he was spotted in the park and escaped on foot.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an incident at Stardust Memorial Park, Coolock D17.
"The incident occurred on the 5th October 2019 at approximately 9pm.
"It's understood a male fled from Gardaí on foot. A firearm was located at the scene. No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing."
