Gun fired at Tollcross flat as police scrambled to Dunira Street in Glasgow's east end

A gun was fired at a flat in Tollcross in the early hours of this morning prompting a significant police response in the east end of Glasgow.

Emergency services were scrambled to Dunira Street shortly before 4am.

Officers say the gun was fired at a flat, shattering a window.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident which has seen police blocking off Dunira Street at Braidfauld Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.50 am on Monday, 2 November 2020, police received a report of a firearm having been discharged a flat in Dunira Street, Shettleston, Glasgow.

“Police attended and found that the window of the flat had been damaged as a result.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and identify the person or persons involved.”
