
Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed on Tuesday his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for his keenness on boosting joint cooperation.
He made his remarks upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla to attend the 41st Gulf Cooperation summit.
“We thank King Salman for his keenness on bolstering joint cooperation,” he stated, while highlighting the “great efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia to boost the GCC.”
“We are proud of the close historic and ever-growing relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia that are based on firm values and a common destiny,” he added.
“We hope the summit will be a success and that it will meet the aspirations of the Gulf people,” he added.
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his gratitude for taking part in the GCC summit, underlining the depth of relations that bind Riyadh and Kuwait, their people and governments.
Deputy Prime Minister of Oman Fahad bin Mahmoud al-Said hoped the GCC summit would achieve its desired goals.
In remarks upon his arrival in AlUla, he noted: “The regional and international developments and changes demand coordinated stances and determining the best methods to deal with them in order to safeguard the interests of this region and meet the aspirations of its people.”
He underscored the achievements of the GCC since its establishment in 1981, adding that more effort was needed to bolster cooperation on all levels.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, had welcomed the Gulf leaders upon their arrival in AlUla.
