The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a meeting in Riyadh on Sunday in preparation of Tuesday's 42nd GCC summit.
GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf said the meeting, which was chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, tackled the agenda of the summit and various reports and recommendations that have been submitted to the council.
He added that the ministers are confident that the summit will be a success and an extension of the success of previous meetings that have been held over the decades, which have been marked by prosperity.
They are looking forward to bolster cooperation in all fields and to achieve the aspirations of the people of the Gulf region.
Moreover, Hajraf hailed the recent tour of the Gulf by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
The tour stems from the historic relations that bind Saudi Arabia with its Gulf brothers, stressed Hajraf.
Crown Prince Mohammed carried out his tour last week. He visited Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait to hold talks with their leaders on boosting bilateral relations and Gulf unity.
