RAJKOT: A school bus driver was arrested by Keshod police in Junagadh district for raping a 16-year-old girl of 10th standard studying in the same school.
The police arrested Kamlesh Gorad (26) after the rape survivor’s mother lodged a complaint with Keshod police station.
Gorad is booked under IPC section 376(2)(N), 376(3), 506 (2) and POCSO act.
According to the police complaint the accused was driving the same school’s bus where the victim was studying and he became the friend of the teenage girl and they started chatting and exchanging the pictures and videos on social media site Instagram.
It’s also alleged that accused had raped the girl three times when she was alone at home. The accused got caught when he came to meet the victim at around 3.30am on the night of October 6.
The victim’s father found the person with his daughter and thereafter victim brokedown and narrated that she was raped. The accused was driving the school bus for the last five months.
