Gujarat: PM Narendra Modi to e-inaugurate Sabar Dairy’s mega milk powder plant, other projects

AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the mega milk powder plant and other projects of Sabarkantha District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd (Sabar Dairy) on Thursday.

The milk powder plant at Sabar Dairy in Himmatnagar has a production capacity of 120 metric tonne (MT) per day.

The PM will also virtually inaugurate Sabar Dairy’s UHT milk plant with a 3 lakh litre per day capacity and also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the establishment of cheese manufacturing and whey processing plant with a capacity of 30 MT.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Navsari MP and Gujarat BJP President CR Patil, and Gujarat’s Cooperation & Industries Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma will be present during the event.

"Our new milk powder plant, the UHT milk plant, and the cheese and whey processing plant will go a long way in contributing to enhancing the supply of high-quality milk and milk products and boosting the incomes of our members," said Shamalbhai Patel, chairman, Sabar Dairy.

Sabar Dairy is part of GCMMF, which makes and markets the entire range of milk and milk products under the Amul brand.
