SURAT: Four labourers lost their lives due to asphyxiation after entering a septic tanko n Tuesday evening at a dyeing unit in Palsana locality in Gujarat's Surat.
The incident occurred at a factory situated on Palsana-Katodara road.
Initial reports indicate that two workers fell unconscious during the process of cleaning the septic tank, prompting two others to attempt a rescue.
Unfortunately, all four individuals succumbed to the dangerous conditions within the tank. After being promptly extracted, they were rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced them brought dead.
The deceased, originally from Bihar, are currently undergoing the process of identification, as confirmed by an official from Palsana police station.
