AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has received 2.18 lakh applications from Class 10 and Class 12 students for the supplementary exams. According to sources in the board, these 2.18 lakh students include 1.6 lakh Class 10 students, 45,000 Class 12 general stream students and 13,500 science students.
The board will conduct the Class 10 basic maths supplementary exam on July 18 and that of standard maths on July 19. The social science exam will be on July 20 and the science exam on July 21.
The board will soon start issuing hall tickets for the exams, which can be downloaded from the board’s website. Sources said that of the 1.6 lakh Class 10 students who had taken basic maths, 3,690 will now take the standard mathematics exams which will enable them to get admission in engineering or medical colleges.
The supplementary exams for Class 12 science stream students will be held from July 18 to 20. The mathematics, chemistry and biology exams will be held on July 18, while the English first and second language exams will be held on July 19. The exams for other languages, computer education and physics will be on July 20. The board statement said supplementary exams for Class 12 general stream and vocational courses will be conducted on July 21. From May 30 to June 9, the board accepted applications for supplementary tests for Class 12 science stream students who failed in or were absent for one or two subject papers.
