Guitars with value of £30,000 stolen from Glasgow city centre shop

Guitars with a combined value of around £30,000 have been stolen from a Glasgow city centre shop.

The incident happened at Strung Out Guitars in King Street at around 10.55pm yesterday (December 12). A mixture of acoustic and electric guitars were taken.

Police Scotland are now appealing for anyone with information about the theft or may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward and talk to officers.

Members of the public are also asked to look out for anyone attempting to sell guitars.



Detective Constable Chris Stewart said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of this incident or who may be offered guitars for sale to get in touch.

“Anyone who can help with our enquiries is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 4444 of Saturday, 12 December, 2020, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
