Staff at Guide Dogs NI are seeking two very special volunteers to foster their trainee dogs during weekends and evenings.
The charity will provide support and training to help the successful applicants in their new role, but they warn that their dogs are irresistible.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently recruiting two volunteer fosterers to home our training dogs, during the evenings and weekends when they are not training to be a future life-changer. How could you say no to a face like that?
“If you’re interested in applying you must ideally be 36 miles or less from the Belfast office and willing to drop the dog off between 8am and 9am each morning and collect again between 5pm to 6pm each evening.”

The charity have confirmed they will consider families with resident dogs.
The volunteers would be expected to :
- Provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for a dog or puppy.
- Ensure the dog or puppy is fed, exercised, and cared for to maintain excellent health.
- Use positive reinforcement training techniques to teach or maintain behaviours.
- Ensure the dog is not left alone for more than 4 hours in a 24-hour period.
