Guendouzi excellent, Maitland-Niles and Xhaka poor - Arsenal fans' player ratings vs Aston Villa

Arsenal's winless run in the Premier League is over after the Gunners twice came from behind to beat Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Unai Emery's side got off to a bad start, with John McGinn stealing in to touch a cross past Bernd Leno after 20 minutes to give the visitors the lead.

And things went from bad to worse five minutes before half-time when Ainsley Maitland-Niles picked up his second booking off the match, and was shown a red card.

The Gunners got back into the game just before the hour mark when Matteo Guendouzi was bundled over in the penalty area, with referee Jon Moss pointing to the spot. Nicolas Pepe stayed cool to slot the ball down the centre for his first Arsenal goal.

But a minute later Villa were back in the lead after Wesley tucked home from close range following an excellent run and cross from Jack Grealish.

Arsenal 3-2 Aston Villa: Unai Emery full press conference

With around 10 minutes left, Calum Chambers got the Gunners level once again, pouncing on a loose header in the box to poke the ball high past Tom Heaton in the Villa goal.

And with five minutes remaining, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed all three points for the Gunners with a free-kick right on the edge of the area.

football.london offered fans the chance to have their say on who impressed - and who didn't - in the narrow defeat.

And the player with the highest rating was midfielder Guendouzi. The young French star has impressed this season, and played a part in both the opening and second goal.

In second place was Aubameyang following his game-winning free-kick.

Those with the lowest scores were Maitland-Niles following his first-half red card, followed closely by Granit Xhaka after yet another underwhelming display for the Gunners - which the fans certainly noticed as he was substituted.
