Luxury Italian fashion brand Gucci unveiled on Monday its collaborative products with the Waltz cassette tape shop in Tokyo's Nakameguro district.
Gucci has selected seven locations in the world, including Waltz, to be so-called Gucci Places that reflect the contemporary aesthetic sense of Alessandro Michele, the brand's creative director. An exclusive selection of products, based on those in Gucci's Courrier collection, have been designed as part of the initiative.
Special cassette tape patches inspired by Waltz are featured on six products, including a Boston bag, shoulder bag and wallet, which are available at Waltz.

The Gucci Aoyama flagship will also sell products from April 27. Six products are priced from 56,160 yen to 447,120 yen. The project is intended to support the shop's cassette tape activities.
"Almost no one thinks the cassette tape business will grow, but cassette tapes have created a new trend," shop owner Taro Tsunoda said.
