At least 32 people have been killed including children after a truck ploughed into a crowd in western Guatemala.
The group had walked outside to investigate the aftermath of a fatal car crash on the Pan-American highway, at kilometre 159, in Nahuala, Solola, when the truck collided with them, according to reports.
According to firefighters there are at least 32 people dead, including women, men and children.
Nine people were admitted to hospital in critical condition, Public Health Minister Carlos Soto said.
Ten people were sent to the Hospital of Solola and eight people were taken to a hospital in Quetzaltenango, Sonora reports.
It is reported that one firefighter was injured during the rescue.

Graphic videos shared on social media showed the aftermath of the collision, with bodies strewn across the road and pools of blood in the street.
Grieving friends and relatives can be heard crying and screaming on the distressing footage.
Emergency services sent 10 ambulances to the scene.
Pictures posted on social media showed local villagers helping rescuers and the walking wounded.

Cecilio Chacaj, spokesman of the Department Municipal Firefighters, said people crowded the route because a neighbour had been fatally run over by another driver who fled the scene earlier.
He said: "In the first instance, a person who had been run over by an unknown vehicle died...then people gathered on the side where the deceased was on the asphalt belt. They were hit by a heavy transport vehicle."
