Guardiola 'open to selling Sterling', Spurs drop Kane future hint and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are considering sanctioning a deal for Raheem Sterling this summer.

That is according to Football Insider who claim sources have indicated that Pep Guardiola is 'willing' to allow Sterling to leave the club for the Blues' valuation of £80m with the Catalan eyeing a radical transformation in attack.

After Kevin De Buryne's long-term future was assured at the Etihad, reports suggested that City were moving to open talks with Sterling over a contract extension, but fresh claims allude to Sterling not being viewed as dispensable as he once was.

The 26-year-old's performances in recent weeks, combined with the outstanding form of Phil Foden, have seemingly made Sterling fall out of favour with Guardiola, although he did making the starting line-up in the Carabao Cup final against Tottenham.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane continues to attract interest amid his recent admission that his future may lie away from Tottenham with reports claiming the two time Golden Boot winner will leave the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this term.

Ryan Mason, Jose Mourinho's Interim successor at Spurs, has moved to squash those claims, though.

"I don’t think so," Mason said. "Harry Kane loves this football club. That’s been proven over the last seven or eight years. He’s one of the best strikers in the world. Everyone knows that, we know that and I’d like to think Harry knows that as well."

Finally, the Blues are reportedly monitoring the progress of Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico and the Daily Mail claims the Dutch champions would be willing to sanction a deal for £13m this summer.
