The Guardian won three British Journalism Awards at a ceremony held in London last night (Tuesday, 1 December 2015).
The Press Gazette British Journalism Awards are open to all journalists and aim to celebrate and promote journalism which is both interesting to the public and in the public’s interest.
Patrick Kingsley was named foreign affairs journalist of the year for The Journey, which followed a Syrian refugee across the Mediterranean, campaign of the year went to the Guardian’s environmental campaign, Keep It In The Ground and investigation of the year went to the HSBC files.
Former Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger was also awarded the Marie Colvin prize for improving the reputation of British journalism during his 20 years at the helm of the Guardian.
