New York City, November 2, 2015 - Guardian US today announced two senior appointments to its commercial team in New York City. Sabine Feldmann joins as EVP Sales and Jen Soch is appointed EVP Commercial Delivery.
Sabine Feldmann brings a wealth of commercial experience gained within the publishing industry, having previously held senior sales roles across a number of Conde Nast publications and digital startups. Sabine will lead commercial sales activity for Guardian US and will work in close partnership with Rachel Israel, EVP Guardian Labs, to offer brands innovative ways to reach the Guardian’s valuable US and global audience.
Jen Soch joins from Amplifi US where she held the role of Managing Director, Digital Investment. Prior to Amplifi, Jenn spent over a decade working for media agencies MEC and Mediavest, leading planning and strategy activity for a range of client accounts. Jen will focus on driving integration across the Guardian US commercial operation and will ensure effective delivery of advertising solutions.
The new hires come as Guardian US builds upon its recent commercial momentum in America, with revenue up nearly 80 percent year-on-year. US readership has grown by almost 30% in the same period, with 30.2 million unique visitors every month (ComScore, August 2015), representing over a third of the Guardian’s total global audience.
Welcoming the appointments, Guardian US CEO Eamonn Store said: “I’m thrilled that Sabine and Jen are joining the team at Guardian US. They bring expertise, energy and enthusiasm that will be invaluable as we continue to grow our commercial operations across the United States. To attract top talent such as this is testament to the strength of our journalism and our business.”
Feldmann and Soch take up their roles in fall 2015 and will be based in the Guardian US headquarters in New York City.
