Guardian sustainability story to be told at London School of Economics lecture

An excellent sustainability book is being published next week called Climb the Green Ladder. It's there to give individuals the tools and motivation to do everything from transform their entire company to getting their colleagues recycling.

To celebrate the launch of the book, there will be a series of lectures in partnership with the London School of Economics. This will be part of their high-profile, well-respected, free evening lecture schedule.

The first lecture is on Monday 23rd November at 6.30pm at the LSE's Old Theatre.

I will be speaking along with Ed Gillespie of the consultancy Futerra, given that the Guardian is used as one of the case studies in the book.

So if you are at a loose end, it would be great to see you there. I will be talking about how the sustainability team at the Guardian has brought social, ethical and environmental values to the heart of our business, whether it be in commercial, editorial, people or operations.

It's a fascinating story, if I am allowed to say that, of how commitment and passion can really change the way a company deals with everything from climate change to our local and global communities.
