Guardian shares sustainability experience with Turkish media and LSE students

There are two sustainability events I took part in recently and the output has been published online, so I thought I would highlight these, if you are interested in taking a look.

The first was a workshop I gave in Istanbul to around 30 journalists on the responsibility of the media to cover climate change issues, how to do it effectively and why independence is vital. After the seminar, the Regional Environmental Center (REC), which organised the event, did a video interview with me that has appeared on the Climate Platform website. There is also a Turkish translation.

I was also asked to give a speech at the London School of Economics, as part of their series of lectures on sustainability practice. The title of the evening was "how can sustainability make you and your company more successful." I did a double act with Ed Gillespie of the sustainability communications consultancy Futerra. There is an excellent programme of talks on sustainability at the LSE over the next few weeks so worth checking out.

The event was a partnership with Climb the Green Ladder, a new book aimed at giving individuals the tools to create effective change. There are a number of references in the book to the Guardian's experience in this area.
