Guardian photographer wins World Press Photo Award

Guardian photographer Tom Jenkins won first prize in the World Press Photo Awards. Jenkins was honoured in the sports singles category for his picture of jockey Nina Carberry in the Grand National steeplechase.

The World Press Photo Foundation develops and promotes the work of visual journalists, with a range of activities and initiatives that span the globe.
