Guardian News & Media (GNM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Hamish Nicklin as chief revenue officer.
Hamish joins GNM from AOL, the global media technology company, where he was Managing Director of the UK business.
In this newly created role of chief revenue officer, which brings together Guardian News & Media’s advertising revenues, Jobs and Guardian Labs businesses, Hamish will have responsibility for building long-term, sustainable business relationships directly with clients and agencies across the globe. Hamish will report to David Pemsel and sit on the Guardian News & Media Executive Committee.

Hamish has been Managing Director of AOL UK, since June 2015, where he had overall responsibility for the strategy, planning, delivery and execution of AOL’s UK business, both commercial and editorial. Prior to joining AOL Hamish was Director of Sales at Google, where he worked for 9 years having joined the company’s financial services department in 2006. Hamish began his career in the banking sector holding various positions at Morgan Stanley, Coutts and Lloyds TSB.
