The Guardian has been named the Newspaper of the Year at the Football Supporters’ Federation awards for the third year in a row.

At the awards in London, Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez was named the Player of the Year and Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher the Pundit of the Year.

Among the other winners, 606 on BBC 5 Live was named the Radio Show of the Year, the Commentator of the Year was Martin Tyler of Sky Sports, the Podcast of the Year was The Anfield Wrap and the Fanzine of the Year was that hardy perennial The City Gent.

James Dart, the Guardian sport digital editor, said: “It’s an absolute honour to collect the award on behalf of everyone in the sports department at the Guardian.”
